The
Paul Decca Story
Throughout the late 50's and early 60's, Paul Decca had a string
of hits... all about the number 17. 'Sweetheart 17', '17 Dreams',
'17 Fever' and of course his novelty song about westerns, '17
Wagon Trains'.
But
Paul was getting restless. He wanted to write his own songs. Express
himself his way. That's when he went and broke his winning formula,
by writing the folk tune 'The World is not 16'. From that point
on things got weird. The numbers got lower, he slowly lost his
fan base until that fateful Sullivan Appearance in 1964.
The
Paul Decca story is a story about innocence. It's the story of
an inadvertently revolutionary singer, because let's face it;
you can't cross the boundaries if you don't know what they are. |

Return
of the Hero
Meet Scott Adams: filmmaker, comedian, artist, vegetarian. He’s
from Hollywood. Actually, he’s from New Jersey, and he just
got back to his hometown with a pressing question: What did Thomas
Wolfe mean when he said, “You can’t go home again”?
With an expensive crew from California to document the experience,
Scott finds his opus will not be realized with ease and that his
“return” is not celebrated by anyone but himself.
“Return of the Hero” (ROTH) is a mockumentary comedy
short and a zany and outlandish character piece, written as a tribute
to the comedy of Albert Brooks. |

Plight
of the Windie Bird
Plight of the Windie: Birds of Mystery is a 3-minute mockumentary
that chronicles the trials and tribulations of an endangered species
and the people who raise and care for these fragile creatures. Known
by the scientific name of 'Plasticus Eraticus,' the Windie (pronounced
liked 'wine') owners never acknowledge (or even seem to realize)
that the birds are plastic and powered by rubber bands. The saga
depicts the many dangers faced by the Windie, from immoral poachers
to the powerful windmills that dot the landscape frequented by the
delicate birds. Also featured are the people dedicated to preserving
the species by teaching them how to survive in the wild. |

The
Proper Care & Feeding of an American Messiah
'The Proper Care & Feeding of an American Messiah' is the mock
documentary story of a man who thinks he is a messiah. Not the messiah,
but rather a local, regionally-selected messiah for his own hometown.
He's on a quest, desperately trying to raise money for a town-wide
rally where he hopes to announce his deity -- and to determine his
true, God-given 'special purpose' in life. Which may or may not
have something to do with ailments of the lower gastrointestinal
tract, but he won't be sure until he hears more or less directly
from God. |

Serial
(Best Director Award)
There has always been a thin line between society and the media,
and struggling TV-news reporter Roseanne Crystal (Lauren Velez)
is about to cross it. She travels to the quiet town of Rhinebeck,
New York to cover the story of local hero cop, Gary Whitlock (Erik
Jensen). While shooting background footage, she and her crew accidentally
discover a grizzly murder scene. At first, it seems like a random
violent crime, but when another body is discovered, signs point
to a possible serial killer. Sensing a hot story, Roseanne broadcasts
a series of sensational reports that send the small town into
a tailspin, which prompts everyone to ask the question: Who is
more dangerous, the serial killer or the reporter who made him
famous?
